The Ultimate Parking Protection without any HOLES in your bumper

The actual sensors are cleverly placed within the strip that is adhesively fitted to your number plate (top or bottom). This is the only part you will see from the outside of your car - all the fittings etc are hidden out of sight.

Controlled Precision

As with any of our sensor kits, we advise that you connect the system to your reverse switch - thus ensuring the system is only engaged when you select reverse gear.

The kit comes complete with 3 ultrasonic sensors offering effective obstacle detection via reflection of waves. Each individual sensor offer detection as follows:

Maximum Width: 190cm
Maximum Height: 90cm
Last Level of detection: 30cm

Overall Detection Range: 0.2m - 1.5m

What if you need front protection?

This kit can also be used for front protection. Simply charge to any 12v power source (ie your head lights etc) rather than your reverse light.

How does it work and how is it fitted?

The system works by radiating ultrasonic beams covering the area behind the vehicle. The beams are reflected by obstructions behind the vehicle, and re-enter the sensors. The reflected beam information is processed to calculate the distance of the obstruction.

As we advise you to connect this system to your reverse light, the kit is only activated when you select reverse gear. As the vehicle reverses, if the vehicle is less than 1.5m from an obstacle the audio buzzer will alert you via 'bi..bi..bi' alerts.

As the vehicle gets closer the intermittent 'bi...bi..bi.' alerts will increase in frequency and duration until a constant noise is heard alerting you to STOP (approx. 30 cm from obstacle).

Dimensions and Measurements

How is it fitted?

Although the kit comes complete with easy to read instructions, the basic fitting is as follows:

1. Drill hole in the metal behind your number plate - to allow cables to enter inside the vehicle
2. Adhesively stick the number plate sensor strip in the desired position and feed the cables through the newly drilled hole.
3. Connect these cables to the ECU / Control box which is fitted inside your boot.
4. Connect the ECU / Control box to your reverse light or any 12v fused source and also to Earth / Ground
5. Connect the Buzzer to the ECU / Control box and with the 6m cable position the Buzzer inside your vehicle in the desired position. *

Additional Notes:

This parking sensor kit is not suitable for cars whose number plate is not central.

Generally, the Number Plate Sensor Kit adhesively sticks to the lower section of your number plate. However, where this may be loer than 30cm above the ground, you may need to position it at the top of your number plate.

The Number Plate Sensor Strip is angled at 9 degrees - which can be +9 or -9 depending on the height of your number plate.

The detected obstacle has to be at least 8cm in diameter and at least 10cm above the ground .

* As per the instructions, we strongly recommend that you test the position of the number plate strip prior to drilling holes into your vehicle. Although this kit is generic and suitable for most vehicles, it is always wise to test prior to permanent installation.
